Volunteers are vital members of our Conflict and Change team. Our volunteers are a microcosm of the communities of Newham itself with 25 languages between them! Part of the richness offered to and contributed by our volunteers comes from working together across ethnic and faith differences. We hope to model our vision for the whole of the community on these relationships built within Conflict and Change.
Along with the usual volunteer roles on the Management Committees of Conflict and Change and the MuslimMediation Service and as mediators, we have begun to successfully bring volunteers into the Education, Training and Community Development teams as training, facilitation and administrative assistants.
