Volunteering

Bring people together in Newham – volunteer with Conflict & Change!

Is your local community important to you? Are there changes you’d like to see? You can help bring diverse groups and individuals together in Newham and can benefit from personal development along the way.

Conflict & Change was founded by volunteers back in 1984 and thanks to their inspiration and ceaseless energy our work is ever expanding 25 years later.

Volunteers remain at the heart of what we do and are really important in how we keep our work strongly rooted in the communities we work with.

We currently have around 50 active volunteers.

Although volunteers support our existing areas of work, we strongly encourage volunteers to bring ideas of their own that we can help them with. Some examples from current volunteers are initiating dialogue on racially motivated violence in Forest Gate, establishing shared children’s sports activities in West Ham park and trying to boost energy in a Neighbourhood Watch group in Priory Park.
