If you have completed parts 1-3 of our 'Skills for Local People' basic conflict resolution training and can commit to volunteering with Conflict and Change, you can take part in the course below:
Advanced Interpersonal and Mediation Skills
A 4-day course which builds on the learning already gained to support you to:
- Understand and use the mediation process
- Develop deeper self-awareness of your habits and roles when you are a third party dealing with conflict
- Deepen your understanding of using conflict resolution tools and your confidence to use them through practice and feedback

Once you have completed the Advanced Interpersonal and Mediation Skills course, you are eligible to take part in both of the following courses:
Training for Trainers
An intense 3 day course which builds on the conflict resolution, communication and mediation skills learned previously. By the end participants will:
- Understand and be able to use a range of training tools (including role play and drama)
- Be able to use their listening, summarising, reframing and affirming skills to constructively work with a group of people
- Be able to design a participatory training session focussed on conflict resolution and communication
- Be able to work constructively with a co-trainer

Facilitation Skills
A 1 day course which builds on previous learning to develop the skills to support our Community Conversations work. By the end of the course participants will:
- Understand the role and skills of a facilitator
- Understand the process we use to hold community dialogue
- Be able to use key communication skills to positively work with groups of people in the community
- Have developed strategies for dealing with challenges in community dialogue settings
