On the 24th February 2009, a group of participants finished the 4 day introductory workshops at our offices in East Ham.
The group took part in sessions related to Understanding Conflict and Anger which are accredited by Open College Network (OCN) and two other additional workshops related with Dealing with Prejudice and Discrimination and Communication Skills. It was a very active and participative group that brought a valuable amount of sharing and positive energy to the sessions.
If participants chose to, they can now attend our Advanced Interpersonal Mediation Skills (AIMS) Training and become Conflict and Change Volunteers.
Read some of their comments:
"Firstly I wish to express my thanks to all of the staff at Conflict and Change for the course provided. It was very obvious from the beginning that the course had been very well designed and thought out. The course has given me a deeper knowledge and self awareness in relation to the tools and outcomes of mediation and has made me even more enthusiastic to hopefully put into practice all I have learnt".

I am grateful I could take part in the training. The content covered was extremely interesting and delivered in a very friendly manner. The trainers explained everything very clearly and always answered our questions. New tools were given to me with a word of advice on how to use them in real life. We also got helpful handouts. I think the most important thing was the atmosphere which required for us to be open and non- judgmental. We were able to create a wonderful, members supporting, well–working group. I am still in touch with some of the participants.
I can recommend this course with whole my heart! You are losing nothing but you can gain everything. This course is special!
