"Thank you for the honour of sharing my experience of what I have gained from the training of Conflict and Change. Wow! What can I say? Conflict and Change has really impacted my life. The training is just what I needed to help me be the person who can effect changes in my community. My passion has for a long time has been to help bring people together and Conflict and Change has definitely provided me with the tools to enable this to happen. Anonymous
One of the lessons I learned in training is that is important in mediation that I move away from my own agenda and that we do not try to rescue or tell people what they should be doing. The training helped me to see my own tendencies to try and fix people and to think I know better. My role as a go between is to listen and to gain the others perspective and to enable them to find there own solutions to the conflict. I now really feel Conflict and Change has given me not only theory but practical tools through role playing, feedback and team exercises. The whole training process has given me the confidence to believe that I cannot only transform my own life but also the lives of others around me. I am already experiencing a change and feel that I can make a real difference in my community. With Thanks." Simon Gibson

“Volunteering as a training assistant at C&C let me work with a bunch of enthusiastic, warm and open-minded people. Working here at C&C (I can work here) towards peace building in the most culturally diverse borough of London, means I learn about new cultures, people and myself big time!” Marta

"I started this course to become a Mediator. Yes, this course is definitely for mediators. But let me tell you my personal feelings and changes which I observed in me after doing this course. This course worked like a miracle for me . I work in security industries. My workplace is highly paced and involves a lot of customer service relations. After doing this course I have a confidence to solve customers problems by empowering them to solve their own problems. This course helped me to listen more and give advice less. This course is a great help for personal development. Thank you C&C." Zulfiqar
"Having just completed a course with Conflict and Change I’ve already had the chance to use my mediation skills at work. The other day my manager called me into his office and asked for help in a difficult situation with one of our volunteers, and I was able to use my new skills to create better understanding between them. Being able to help in this way has made a big difference to my self-confidence as well." Anonymous
“These workshops made me look at the things about my life that I can change”. Alternatives Parents Group. Maxine
"Alternatives invited Conflict and Change to teach some sessions on anger and assertiveness at our We are Family group for vulnerable young mums and their children. Ed and Jean each led 2 sessions and fitted in very comfortably and naturally with us. We were quickly put at their ease and felt safe to share and participate, and the sessions were very well received by all. We had good fun with the exercises, and the materials were very practical and could be used immediately. We loved the participation, warmth, content and delivery of all of it. We are not always an easy group to work with, but we had great confidence in Jean and Ed's facilitation which made it a safe, helpful and fun learning environment. Thank You Conflict and Change." The Alternatives
"Conflict and Change trainings gave me confidence in talking about my own needs and feelings. I also feel that I am a better listener that I was. I loved the way the knowledge was presented to participants. I remember myself being very enthusiastic about things that I was learning – I was keen to try out my new skills. Fortunately I had lots of opportunities to practice at my workplace and in my personal life. I am truly impressed and surprised by the positive outcomes that it brings." Maciek
"Enrolling in Conflict and Change’s course on Communication and Conflict Resolution in the Workplace has really changed the way I approach conflict and difficult situation. Before the course ended I had already had an opportunity to use my new skills at work, when dealing with a difficult situation with my manager. Thanks to the training I was able to express my feelings and needs to my manager and the result was better understanding between the two of us. I had a smile on my face the whole day afterwards!" "It was clear to me that the trainers had very rich and high quality knowledge and also had the relevant life/work experience concerning all the topics we covered. They always shared real examples with the class…The captivating class discussions and true-to-life role play activities really enhanced my personal benefits from the training… I think the training was superb and very relevant to the issues experienced by many today. I came away feeling that I could genuinely make a difference to any situation between neighbours, work colleagues, friends & family or clients with the skills I acquired through the training." Priscilla
