LONDON'S BURNING Community Conversation

Film and discussion evening on Thursday 26th January

6:30 till 9.00 p.m. at Conflict and Change’s office  

We will watch the Channel dramatic interpretation of a night of rioting and looting at Clapham Junction in August 2011. It will be a “Community Conversation” across cultures, generations and walks of life. Facilitated by our Truce 2020 young people. This is a pilot for a series of inter-generational conversations to take place all around Newham in 2012.

Welcome to Global Exchange volunteers!!!

For the next three months there will be two Global Xchange volunteers working, in Newham, on the Truce 2020 project with Conflict & Change. The Global Xchange is a volunteer programme that works by bringing together various cultures. There are 10 UK volunteers and 10 overseas volunteers; in this case the exchange was between Newham and Nigeria. Natasha and Abbas have already completed the first stage of the exchange, which was held in Cross River State, Nigeria:
