The Muslim Mediation Service was initially a project of Conflict & Change but became an indepenednt organisation in October 2007. Their office is based in the Conflict & Change building. Their aim is to bring families together by promoting better communication. They also want to help people develop conflict resolution skills. The service is unique, bringing religious and cultural understanding. All of their trained volunteers are Muslim and understand the problems in the community. They help people to listen to each other's point of view and find a way forward together. They do not take anyone's side and are independent of the council and other official bodies. Their service is free and confidential. Whatever you choose to tell them remains completely private.
