Our new Director at Conflict and Change

Posted in

We are very pleased to announce that our newly appointed Director of Conflict & Change is Jean Black, who you may know as our existing Training Resources Leader. Jean will be taking up the post in early September and we’re really looking forward to her continued energy, skill and commitment to our work in this new role.

Jean Black

Here’s a few words from Jean…

“Hi! For those of you who don’t know me I am Jean….and I am passionate about the work that Conflict and Change does and inspired by the vision of being a powerful agent of change in Newham.

My early career was spent in Management and as a Trainer. I have worked as a Management Consultant to organisations and individuals. I have also held the position of setting up a National programme for training for a respected Charity and have taught Personal Development and Counselling skills. I currently work part time as the Training Resource Leader at Conflict and Change. My other work includes being an Executive and life coach which enables me to continually gain new insights into business; a Consultant for Barnardos working with young people and a BACP accredited Counsellor in private practice. My style of working is creative, challenging, interactive and outcome focused.

As Director I will enjoy working with the MC, staff and volunteers to maintain the ongoing visionary work of Conflict and Change and develop new imaginative initiatives in the Conflict Resolution and Social Cohesion field. And I hope that the impact of our work will grow such that Newham residents will say with conviction that Conflict and Change is indeed a learning organisation that walks its talk.”
