Neighbourhood Work

The aim of this work is to help build trust, understanding and co-operation by encouraging people to develop creative ideas that will help them build connections with other people in their area (e.g. neighbours, people from different communities and faith background):

East Ham Community NetworkDockside Neighbours

The East Ham Community Network is aimed at bringing together people in East Ham to plan activities together, meet regularly to foster trust, understanding and co-operation through organising joint events in the area that are inclusive and based on the initiatives of local people.

If you are interested in doing bridge building work in your neighbourhood and need support, please contact the Community Development officer on 020 8552 2050 or email sarjoh@conflictandchange.co.uk .

North Woolwich and Silvertown

We have worked in North Woolwich and Silvertown, where we supported the Dockside Neighbours to develop a vision of a closely knit community where neighbours interact and know each other. We facilitated regular fortnightly meetings of the groups , helping them do outreach in the community to recruit members and organised two winter parties, shared lunch and quiz social night. The group currently runs a Dockside singing group open to everyone in the community.
