These courses are free to those living and working in Newham. People outside of Newham can attend the courses for a fee of £100 a day. Training is held at our offices in 2a Streatfeild Avenue, East Ham, London E6 2LA, between the hours 09:30 – 16:30.
There are two main strands to our work; the Skills for Local People pathway for people living or working in Newham, and our other Short Courses detailed below.
The Faiths in Action programme aimed to empower women to build bridges in their communities by running interfaith events for 300 local people over two years. To this end, 73 women from diverse backgrounds received four days of training to work confidently with different faiths and opinions to build relationships and understanding. They ran 26 events for a total of 372 people in the community.
