Young People and Recent Riots in our Communities

It is a hard time for young people however you cut it: unemployment; rising costs in post secondary school education; and cuts to spending on services targeting the needs of young people. And now we have the easy tendency to malign youth in the wake of the recent rioting here in Newham across London.

Secondary Schools Work

Our secondary schools work has led us right into the heart of youth work, using social, educational and creative media to explore conflict, emotions, and mediation. Focussing on personal experiences, and with guidance from the young people on our Steering Group, we aim to work in a way that reaches young people on their own level.

Within the Children and Young People Team (CYP) we provide 2 distinct conflict resolution programmes for primary aged students (Key stage 2).
