Community Conversations - talking together in a safe, meaningful and positive way

Community Conversation event

We have run over 150 Community Conversations in the past 5 years in partnership with Schools, Community Forums, Community Centres, faith groups, Neighbourhood Watches, youth groups, Council officers and Councillors and the Muslim Mediation Service.

We run all our events in a friendly and supportive way and ensure that everyone gets involved and has their say, and that every contribution is valued and affirmed.

Hartley parents get together after their first week in the school

Monday 12th September 2012

Hartley School are well versed in helping the new reception children settle into school but this year they tried out something new with the parents.  They asked all the parents to come to the hall after dropping off the children at the end of their first week because they wanted them to get to know each other.

Parents were first welcomed by Kam Kahlon, Assistant Head, and then they joined three different circles for their children’s classes: RL, RB & RE.
